Color Me Closet

November 20, 2008

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved clothes. My mom always tells the story about how, since the age of five, I’ve insisted upon dressing myself.
I wore a dress nearly ever day of kindergarten because it’s what I picked out nearly every day. I still remember the purple velvet dress I was wearing when I got chicken pox in the first grade. Crazy, I know. But clothes are a passion of this WIT’s and therefore my memory associates “firsts” with fasion!

The way I keep all the clothes organized? Color coordination. I’ve done it forever. Everything hanging in my closet is in a color category. A little OCD? Yeah, probably. But it makes me happy and makes things easy when it comes to getting dressed. Left to right? Pink, red, purple, blue, green, yellow, white, ivory, brown black and gray.

I highly recommend this tactic because, as WITs, we’re always looking to keep things streamlined. And, frankly, when you’re a WIT, you’ve got a lot of your assets hanging in your closet- better know where they all hang. Literally.

to the right…what I hope to someday be my very own closet…le sigh.

You need to check your facts there my dear. My memory is accurate and you were not in first grade, but preschool as I was in 3rd grade. =) Love you!
