Two words: Heat.Wave. Holy lord has it been hot! And New York hasn’t even got the worst of it, but man do I find myself stressing first thing in the morning wondering what on earth I can put on that will keep me from completely melting all together. And while I don’t own a ton of shorts, those I do have get a pretty good workout on the closet circuit pretty much all year round (point in case: here, here, here and here).
I’ve recently been obsessed with 3.1 Phillip Lim’s shorts. They are so elegant and chic and beautifully tailored. Every pair I see, I end up wanting. (P.S. this girl has a great collection of 3.1 Phillip Lim pieces like these shorts and these shorts).
My favorite way to wear shorts? Dressing them up with an uber-feminine blouse and a tall pair of heels. What’s your favorite?!

those sequin shorts are the stuff that dreams are made of! i did well at forever 21 and found a few cute pairs of dressy shorts with a tie-waist belt. i love them with a tank, chunky necklace and blazer… or with a loose flowy top. either way, heels & wedges are a must! xo
IT IS SO HOT. All I do is wear shorts. I love the shiny ones – its hard to find good ones to wear to work, but love the ones you chose!
