Spring Bucket List

Spring Neutrals Outfit wit & whimsy

Throughout the year I keep a list of things in my Notes app on my phone of what I’d like to do as we welcome a new season. I always look forward to Spring and Fall the most as they are my favorite times of year. This Spring I have a lot of travel on the calendar so I am hopeful to make the most of the time I do have at home in New York City.

What’s on your guys’ bucket list in the coming months?

My time this month in California got me *so* ready for warmer weather and also for the return of more fun travel. I’m also hopeful to be finally finishing my apartment as much as possible so that I can finally shoot it in the summer and share everything with you guys!

Spring Bucket List

Have a park picnic.

Park weather is back and I absolutely love doing casual picnics down in Brooklyn Bridge Park with friends.

Deep clean my apartment.

I haven’t been home of late so my place is in need of a deep clean and I particularly love to do this as we welcome spring weather and I can open the windows and play country music while I get to work. More ways of How I Spring Clean.

Host my first dinner in my new apartment.

I hope to finally have my final dining chairs next month which means I will be in shape to finally host the first dinner part at my apartment! (Also thinking I need to host a housewarming party!?)

Visit Storm King Art Center.

It’s been years since I’ve been up to Storm King and I’d love to return this Spring if I can squeeze it in on one weekend.

See the Cherry Blossoms in Paris

I’m hopeful that during my upcoming trip to Paris I will be able to catch some of the cherry blossoms still in bloom!

Go to London with Carly.

I am so excited that Carly and I are returning to London together this Spring! I had the very best time when I was there in November – it’s my favorite city to visit next to Paris

If you also happen to be going to London in the near future, be sure to check out my London Favorites.

Take a walking tour of my neighborhood, Brooklyn Heights.

I always see people out in my neighborhood on walking tours and I’d love to find a Saturday where I can join one! I’ve lived in Brooklyn Heights for nearly six years so I know quite a bit but I am sure there is plenty of history with which I am not familiar!

Try two new restaurants.

There’s so much newness popping up in New York City post pandemic and I want to try at least two new spots this season. (Have any recommendations for me!?)

Catch up with a friend on a Central Park walk.

I can’t wait for all the leaves to return to the trees in Central Park and see everything begin to bloom.

Visit the Neue Galerie.

This is a museum I haven’t actually been to during my 11 years in the city so I would love to visit soon.

Take the Staten Island Ferry.

I haven’t ridden the Staten Island Ferry in at least six years so I want to take a trip for the heck of it. Did you know it is free to ride!?

Visit Governors Island and rent bikes.

Governors Island has so much going on now and I love taking the ferry over there during warmer weather. I want to rent bikes and take in the views of the city.

I went to Storm King Art Center last fall and can’t recommend it enough! Such an awesome experience for a beautiful day. I would allow around 4 hours to see a good portion of it because it’s very spread out. The Shops at Jones Farm is nearby and cute for a bite to eat before/after!

I’ve got trips to NYC and Chicago coming up this spring – haven’t been to Chicago in 27 years, so am super excited to visit again! Other things on my list are to explore the botanical gardens here in NC, spend time reading outside with my pup, and do a deep dive into editing my wardrobe 🙂
