August Beauty Edit

Beauty Products one blogger loves

It’s already practically mid-August (which I can barely believe) and therefore time to share some beauty products I’ve been loving recently as this month’s Beauty Edit. These are G-O-O-D and I hope you find something you can’t wait to try!

And PSA: DermStore just launched their anniversary sale so you can nab some great skincare and makeup at up to 25% off!

Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Lip Oil Stick:

Where has this product been all my life? It works to remove long-lasting lipsticks in a pinch. Swipe it on and then wipe off your lips with a tissue. For more pigmented lip colors I have to swipe it on a couple of times but not only does it dissolve the lip color but it also leaves lips super hydrated thanks to the oil formula. No more battling those liquid lipsticks or darker colored lipsticks! (BTW there’s also a version for your face!)

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel:

If you’re a longtime reader you know how much I believe in peels. I do one every week at home and this is one of my new favorites. First of all, it smells amazing because it contains both papaya and pineapple to aid in exfoliation. But it’s also super gentle (so you can actually use it twice a week if you’d like.) After use my skin looks more awake, smoother and revitalized. You leave it on for only 10-15 minutes so it’s easy to apply after your shower and then rinse off before you apply your daily skincare regimen. (Oh and by the way the Elemis brand just did the chicest collaboration with designer Misha Nonoo for a limited edition travel bag + travel essentials. You can shop it here!)

Shiseido Future Solution LX Concentrated Balancing Softener:

This has been a recent extra step in my regimen but well worth it. You use it after cleansing and before you apply serums or moisturizers. It begins hydrating the skin and makes skin oh-so-soft. My favorite part? It helps to minimize the appearance of your pores which has increasingly become something I’m looking for across my nose and cheeks. It also exfoliates so that your skin is prepped for the next steps in your skincare such as SPF, serums, moisturizers.

Tata Harper Smoothing Body Scrub:

I love body scrubs, particularly during summer and this one from Tata Harper did not disappoint. Not only does it exfoliate but it also hydrates. After use my skin feels super smooth and firm. Pro tip? Use it before you shave!
