Excited to share some photos from my day trip up to Wilkens Fruit & Fir Farm last week! I hadn’t ever been to this particular farm but cannot recommend it enough. In addition to the apple picking, pumpkin patch and bake shop, the property also has Christmas trees growing and even wine tasting!
Bekka and I both arrived with apple plans in mind. She was setting out to make apple butter and I was picking to make my favorite apple crisp. (No more than once a year do I take on a more complicated baking recipe and this is almost always it!)
I pretty much have an uniform for days like this and it consists of a favorite sweater, jeans and booties.
And scarf season is almost fully back! Next week I’ll be sharing a bunch of cute ones so keep an eye out for that.
I have to admit that doing little escapes like this on weekdays make me extra appreciative of my self-employment status. The farm was quiet and there was no battling crowds for apples on the trees or let’s be honest, the warm apple cider doughnuts!
Wilkens touts their “famous” chocolate covered apple cider doughnuts so obviously I had to try both. (#Worthit)
