currently craving: metallics

I know metallics are so often associated with the winter season (loved me some sequin back in December), but recently I’ve been loving them in soft shades (like these Lanvin flats) and unexpected pieces (such as these See by Chloe shorts).

Thinking I need to try me a metallic mani soon a la Natalie Off Duty. I don’t think I’ve done metallic nails since high school!

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! If you want, see more Currently Craving here.

Currently Craving: Blush tones

Ever since receiving this darling Free People dress (also able to be worn as a maxi skirt!) from Shopbop the other week, I have been dreaming of wearing it as soon as the weather warms up. It’s also had me looking at new spring arrivals longingly in the gorgeous blush tones that we’ll be seeing so much of come the new season.

Not that I haven’t already been dreaming of spring or anything…

Last September when I was attending Fashion Week for spring 2011, I was drooling over the pieces being showcased in flowing, sheer and beutiful drapery. As seen in a post on spring 2011 trends, Nanette Lepore and Vera Wang showed pieces in this gorgeous blush color.

Ladies at Fashion Week last week were also loving the tone, as seen on Mr. Newton.

I cannot wait to buy more pieces in this dreamy color. Here’s what I’m currently craving…(and let’s not forget about these darling little guys!)

What I’m craving: Spring 2011

  1. Anthropologie Teak Treasure Cuff, $298
  2. Madison Marcus Lace & Silk Tube top, $285
  3. Madewell Chiffon Cascade dress, $148
  4. Elizabeth + James “Charlotte” Belted Trench, $575
  5. Lanvin Ballet Flats in pink, $485
  6. Barney’s Polka Dot Umbrella, $140

I know we’re only just getting into the thick of Winter, but I can’t help but already be getting excited for Spring given the recent release of various designer look books (Topshop’s is trippy beautiful), the early availability of certain Spring trends (here’s a sneak peek at what to expect) and my eagerness to pull out certain pieces of my wardrobe that have been in hibernation.

Who’s with me? What can’t you wait to wear this Spring?
