June Beauty Edit I wit & whimsy

It’s time for a round of The Beauty Edit and these four products are tried and tested and GOOD! I am lucky enough to try out a lot of beauty products but every month select just four that I’ve been using regularly and really cannot get enough of. You can see past beauty edits here.

June The Beauty Edit

Mighty Patch Pimple Patches

Have you ever used a pimple patch? I hadn’t until a few months ago but as my hormonal acne kept cropping back up, I decided to give them ago. And O.M.G. They are so satisfying to use.  If whiteheads are a problem for you, buy a pack of these ASAP. You apply one to your pimple, go to bed and in the morning you’ll remove it to see the disgustingly satisfying results of the patch having absorbed pus and fluids. It uses Hydrocolloid to help pimples heal and get resolved more quickly.

Klorane Oat Milk Dry Shampoo for Brunettes

When I grew out my roots, I had to give up my favorite spray dry shampoo from DryBar. I needed one that wouldn’t leave any white residue. This one – specially formulated for brunettes – does such a good job in refreshing my hair. It soaks up any excess oil and freshens while volumizing. It’s my go-t when I am in a hurry and need a refresh. (When I have more time, I still swear by this dry shampoo.)

Caudalie S.O.S. Deep Hydration Moisturizer

For some reason I am so picky when it comes to moisturizers. It is a textural thing for me largely and after one use of this cream I was utterly hooked. I added a retinol to my nighttime skincare routine recently and, as expected, I experienced some dryness and flakiness as my skin adjusted to the retinol. Given’s Caudalie SOS Cream promises to deliver deep hydration,

I decided to test it out to see if it could counteract the retinol effects. After one use, my skin was in better condition. Then after two weeks, I was literally looking forward to using this cream.  My skin is so smooth, firm and hydrated in the morning after using this product as a last step in my nighttime routine. The cream’s texture is super silky and in addition to providing hydration it also calms redness (which I often experience thanks to my skin’s sensitivity and fair color). Better yet? This product is vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and comes in recyclable packaging.

L’Occitane Purifying Mask

Using this mask is oh-so-satisfying. It soaked up excess oil I was experiencing and I love that it makes skin more matte while also providing gentle exfoliation (thanks to the freshly cut thyme from Provence.) You only leave it on for a few minutes so it’s the perfect quick, pick-me-up mask. If you suffer from overly oily skin, you’ll love this.

. . .

p.s. Under $25 beauty favorites and summer beauty favorites.

LOVE Klorane dry shampoo, it’s my go to! I’ve also found pimple patches very satisfying and helpful for hormonal acne! If only I could stop picking at them… going to need to try the L’occitane mask!
