Sezane Fall Collection: Fall New Arrivals from My Favorite French Brand

September 20, 2023

Sezane James Coat

Sézane has been a favorite brand of mine ever since discovering their L’appartment store in Paris back in 2015. It was instantly added to my favorite places to shop and I’ve been shopping there ever since. I’ve loved watching their brand expand and am so happy they introduced shipping to the U.S. in 2017.

This post has been freshly updated with some of my latest purchases so be sure to read on to see what I’ve bought so far.

Sézane Fall Collection

Fall is my favorite time of year to shop Sézane as I think they excel in knitwear and coats in particular. I really, really love a lot of the new collection and wanted to round up my favorites from the Fall season and also share a lot of the pieces I own that are once again restocked.

A lot of the options included come in a variety of colors so be sure to click through to check them out.

Sezane Fall Favorites I Own

Sezane James Coat Fall Outfit

Sezane James Coat

I love this modern take on a peacoat-esque style. It’s similar to a blazer as well with its lapel and buttons and pockets and I just think it is so chic. The thick material is beautifully tailored and I love the navy color I chose. They have it in a few other colors as well.

This runs a bit oversized so I took my usual size of size 6. If you plan to wear it with thicker knits I’d size up.

Sézane Johnson Coat

The Johnson coat is such a timeless staple. I love this coat for Fall before it gets too cold in New York and think it makes a great coat if you live in warmer climates that don’t see true winter weather. I recommend sizing up if you plan to wear it over sweaters as it runs a bit tight in the shoulders I found. I wear a size 8.

It is one of my favorite coats for Fall & Winter and I added the Black to my collection last Winter.

Sezane Gaspard Sweater I wit & whimsy

Sézane Gaspard Sweater

My #1 Sézane essential is this versatile sweater. I’ve amassed a collection of three colors now and the striped version. I love wearing it both frontwards and backwards. It goes great with jeans, with printed pants and can also be worn over dresses or paired with skirts.

Spring in Paris Striped Sweater

The Sezane site has loads of style inspo for this magical cardigan. I absolutely love how diverse the styling options are. It’s so feminine and I love the fit on it. I wear it in a size Small but you could take your usual size for a more oversize fit. I rarely size down in Sezane but do wear this sweater in a small.

It now comes in many colors of the rainbow – I own the navy and this beautiful brown color, too:

Sezane Tomboy Shirt I wit & whimsy

Sézane Tomboy Button Down

It’s often hard for me to find well-fitting button downs but my search ended when I found the Sézane Tomboy button down shirt. It’s the perfect fit and not too stuffy of a fabric. It’s more-so a lived-in cotton fabric that takes down the formal factor in the style.

I sized up to an 8 in this style.

Sezane Christie Jacket

Sézane Christie Jacket

A timeless, well-made blazer with a flattering silhouette. I have it in a size 6 in both the camel and the black.

For Fall the brand has introduced bright, bold colors in this jacket along with the classics and a beautiful new herringbone plaid, too.

French Girl Style Striped Tee I wit & whimsy

Sézane Colette Marinière Striped Tee

No essential French wardrobe is complete without a striped tee and the Sézane Colette tee is just as close to perfection as you’d expect. I adore my ecru/camel color but they of course also offer a classic ercu/navy.

It’s great on its own or layered under sweaters or blazers or cardigans. I am wearing a size M. You can also personalize it! Sezane will embroider your tee for a small fee.

Sezane Victor Bag

Sézane Victor Bag

This bag became an MVP for me in the last few years. It’s surprisingly roomy and is easy to dress up or dress down. Sézane has made this bag for years and you’ll see it all over the streets of Paris. They offer it in a variety of colors and textures and introduced some bolder colors for Fall this year.

Sézane Milo Bag

This classic shoulder bag is a timeless shape and style that goes with so much. They have it in a variety of colors and sizes. If you prefer a crossbody bag, you should look at the Claude Bag they newly released.

Sezane Sami Jumper and Naelle Skirt

This is such a chic and on-trend outfit for this Fall. The set also comes in other colors if this neutral isn’t for you. Wearing an XL in the sweater – it runs very small – a Large in the skirt.

Sezane Fall Boots

Sézane Adele Boots

I wanted to add a chic, yet casual low heeled boot to my favorite boots this season and these fit the bill. They are beautifully made, comfortable to walk in and have a looser calf shaft so I didn’t have to have them adjusted at all.

Fall Outfit

Sézane Louise Sweater

I wore this sweater in black so much last Fall & Winter (below) I bought the new beige as soon as it came out. I sized down to a Small.

J.Crew Trousers Paris Outfit

Sezane Trench Coat I wit & whimsy

Sézane Scott Trench Coat

This is a classic trench coat that needs no introduction at this point because I’ve shared it so many times. It’s got a flattering fit and all the classic details you want such as a tie waist and lapel collar.

I love the camel color and thoughtful details on this well-made investment piece that I know I’ll wear for a long, long time. It is also available in a navy, a green and sometimes some other seasonal options.

I tend to size up in all Sézane Coats but took my usual size 6 in this style.

Sezane Plaid Pants

Clara Plaid Trousers

A perfectly Audrey Hepburn inspired pair of pants that won’t go out of style anytime soon. They also come in classic black and a beautiful ivory/camel check.

I bought these in an 8.

Sezane Leo Coat

Sezane Leo Coat

This coat is such effortless cool girl style personified. It got so much wear from me all fall + winter the last two years and know it will again this year. For this season they brought it back but in black.

I’m wearing a size 6. It already runs a bit oversized. I saw a lot of girls in Paris wearing this coat last Winter, too.

Sezane Michele Jacket Navy Blazer

Sezane Michele Jacket

A classic navy blue blazer with practical pockets and gold buttons. I love the preppy vibe of this blazer – especially when styled with a striped tee.

This Fall they brought it back in navy and also introduced it in a beautiful wool charcoal that I instantly bought (see below). You’ll see a few other colors available as well.

I’m wearing a 6.

Sezane Christie Blazer

Sezane Sweater Jacket

Sezane Betty Cardigan

One of my favorite Fall purchases of last year, so much so I went on to buy it in two more colors. I adore this sweater jacket.

I sized up to a L.

sezane-lace-top

Sezane Eglae Blouse

This is a go-to date night blouse for me. I’m wearing an 8. It is even more beautiful in person.

This blouse would be a great date night option, too.

Sézane Conrad T-Shirt

Looking for a good basic tee that holds up? The Sézane Conrad tee is great. I took my usual size of a Medium but recommend sizing up if you like your tees a bit roomier. It comes in a variety of classic neutrals.

Sezane Ralph Blazer

Sezane Ralph Jacket

This wool oversized blazer jacket. The new Sezane Ralph Jacket is so good. Part outerwear, part blazer and so chic.

Wearing a size 6.

What I Have Bought from the Sézane Fall Collection so far

Another great feature of shopping online at Sézane? I love that they have a French essentials collection. It is similar to the concept I shared with my French-inspired Fall Capsule collection here. All great essential pieces you’ll wear loads.

Sézane Sizing

If you’re wondering how Sézane sizing runs, I thought I’d share I’m almost always a Size 38 or 40 (US 6 or 8) in their pieces. A few sweaters I’ve sized down in for less of a slouchy fit. If buttons down the front are at play, I always size up to a size 40 except for the Gaspard sweater.

They’ve also introduced US sizing to their site but you can always switch to French sizes if you think it may be more helpful in determining your size. They’ve introduced extending sizing during recent seasons and I think are better about giving sizing guidance on the product pages now, too.

The brand offers free shipping to the U.S. if you spend over $200 (which is easy to do as I recommend that you order more than one size to ensure you get the right fit if you’re not familiar with the brand!) and free returns. I get my refunds quickly and haven’t had any issues with returns.

You can also shop Sézane in person in Aix-en-Provence, New York, San Francisco & London if you’re ever visiting those spots!

    Hi Meghan!
Thanks for sharing; Sézane always has such beautiful fall clothes. I’m curious to hear whether you like the Leo coat. I ordered it in green but it looks like there was a customs issue and it never left France and is being returned to Sézane. I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth it to reorder & hope it makes its way successfully to me the second time.

Oh no! I’ve never had that happen but how bothersome. I really love it! I sized up to an 8 and it fits perfectly. It’s so chic on. I shot photos of it the other day but don’t yet have them back otherwise I would share with you!
