Whilst we drown in dismal rain here in New York, my California comrades are soaking up sunshine. Hence, I couldn’t resist picking favorites to embrace both weather patterns. We New Yorkers will have to embrace the puddles with cute kicks (I’m living in mine) and all you readers out there enjoying rays, please nab some of these super chic sunnies and wear ’em with pride (my Stellas are patiently awaiting being taken out again)!

What weather are you having? What are your wardrobe survival pieces?

Ask w&w: Flare Jeans?

I received an email after this post in which I was wearing flared jeans (honestly, the whole look still takes me back to high school, but like every trend…what goes around, comes around) and the reader asked:

I loved the Paige jeans you were wearing in your post, “Newport” and was wondering if you could recommend some other flared jeans similar to those you had on?

Naturally, I couldn’t say no to playing around on Polyvore and finding some options via online shopping! Here are some favorites (I particularly love the J Brands):

Styled 3 Ways: One Equipment blouse

After admiring the beautiful styling and carefree style appeal of the classic Equipment blouse on favorite blogger bffs like Blair and Alicia, I bought this one from Shopbop. I was sadly disappointed in the color I got as it was not quite what I was looking for, but I love this punch colored one below. While this blouse would definitely be considered an investment piece by yours truly, the best part about it are its endless possibilities. Check out three ways to style the classic blouse below!

Need more inspiration? Blair has so many ways to pair these blouses over on her blog, Atlantic-Pacific. It’s style saturation for your eyes for daaaaaaays.
